Texfelt are pleased to announce their association with the cult ITV show "60 minute makeover". James Taylor, Managing Director says "The production team at ITV were looking for an affordable carpet underlay that could be used in all areas of the home and that was environmentally friendly. The researches for the programme were highly delighted when they stumbled across our website and discovered that the Envirolay product that Texfelt manufacture was exactly the type of underlay they were looking for to install in the homes featured in the next series." As a result Envirolay underlay has already been dispatched for filming this week!!
Envirolay features on BBC's 'it's not easy being green' programme
Texfelt has recently had it's Envirolay 42 product featured & used on the BBC's It's not easy being green programme. This series has focused on professional couple, Chris and Jay who have spent six months tackling an eco-refurbishment of their Victorian home in London. They selected Envirolay 42 as the eco-friendly underlay of choice because it is produced from 100% recyled fibres and is also recyclable at the end of it's life. The fibres are recycled from various waste streams in the textile industry including woollen spinning waste, woven, tufted & fibre bonded carpet production waste and recycled jute fibres from carpet backing. Envirolay is the first commercial carpet underlay in the UK to have its carbon footprint measured and the findings were that the eco-friendly felt underlay has less co2 in it than a bag of crisps!
